Fans have been wondering: Why wasn't "Bachelor" favorite Bekah Martinez on "Bachelor in Paradise" this season.
Was she not invited? Did she turn down the offer? In a video released Wednesday, Martinez revealed the real reason she didn't make an appearance on the summer spinoff show: She's pregnant.
Martinez, 23, is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Grayston Leonard.
"I was just in such a state of shock when I found out," she said in the six-minute video announcement. "I was like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe this is happening.' "
Martinez was a fan-favorite contestant on Arie Luyendyk's season of "The Bachelor," which aired earlier this year.
She announced her relationship with Leonard in an Instagram post in mid-July, but the two have been dating officially for seven months.

"The thing that is so crazy is that I don't know if there was any part of me that actually thought it was real and that it was actually happening to me," Martinez said.
"It feels so surreal now because I've come to a point of accepting it, embracing it and being excited, telling people and all that. But I was in just a state of shock when I found out."
Martinez said her shock was followed by excitement.
"I've wanted to be a mom my whole life," she said in the video. "This is what I've always wanted, and I don't care what the circumstances are – this is gonna work. And that's how I felt from the start."
The baby is expected in late January.
